Tell us about yourself. Whats your name? Where are you from?
-Im Jay Ant 1/4 of Diligentz and I’m from Hercules CA by way of Richmond CA.

What does the word "based" mean to you?
-Man…I was told it was once a term people used to refer to crack heads with..lol..but eventually evolved into meaning just being your self thanks to The Pack and Team Knoc…but honestly I’ve never really used the term before..but I’m cool friends with L from the Pack..so I can respect it.

How did you get into the music industry? What inspired you?
-I started doing music when I was like 14..im 22 now..my group members older brother was in a group called Kali Fam the ERK THA JERK was apart of and they were dope and we basically just wanted to be like them..so I started making beats for the group and we rapped on them and the rest just went up from there.

What upcoming projects are you working on?
-I got a lot that I’m working on right now..a mixtape called “Jay Is That You”… a street album called “All About Being Cool : Fuck It Smile” and A MIXTAPE WITH BOBBY BRACKIN AND YOUNG L OF THE PACK, Im also doing a Collab line of Fuck It Smile T-shirts With my line “Blue Moon” and Pink Dolphin.

Are there any artists out there you would like to work with, but haven't got the chance yet?
-Of course to many too name I wanna work with everyone that’s good..lol

Who are your favorite artists right now?
-Pharrell, Jay – Z, Kanye, Kid cuddi, Andre 3000, Lupe, Wayne, Daft Punk, Kaskade, Wall Paper, Trey Songz, Will. I. Am., Jeezy, Corine Baley Rae..and I been feelin Drake Nicki Minaj and Wiz Khalifa a lil too.

Who Are your Influences?
-Kanye, Pharrell Jay-z, Andre 3k, and Jeezy, Will.i.AM With the Excetion of Jay Z and Jeezy they are all successful producer artist like me that make DOPE MUSIC..thats why they are my idols. And of course my group Diligentz they push me to get better all the time.

What are some things that people don't know about you?
-Ha shiiit I don’t know….im hella regular..work go to school and do make music..I wanna get a degree in Communication and work with kids…maybe that’s something they don’t know

What’s some advice you can give the people that want to get into the music industry?
-Go to School. And don’t do music if your not good..you wack kids are taking up space.

What does the word "based" mean to you?
-Its very special and unique. its real. its legendary, i only use it when im speaking about someone delusion, some truly amazingly talented, and/or lil b.

How did you get into the music industry? What inspired you?
-Cyrano of The Cataracs found a small project i had up on myspace and liked my voice, i then colabd with the cataracs and now we all live together in loft in LA. I've always liked art, fashion, music, literature, self expression. Im addicted to freedom, and music gives me that. guess that rebellious need for freedom was enough inspiration? yeeeahhhh

What upcoming projects are you working on?
-A good album.

Are there any artists out there you would like to work with, but haven't got the chance yet?
-Too many, I'd like to experience a little of everyonnee

Who are your favorite artists right now?
-Santi. Mia. La Roux. Lilly. Blondie. Kurt. Em. those artists are always my favs. I go through hella phases tho

-Umm idk im usually pretty open about shit

-Keep grinding. Always.

Recap Of the Last 3 Months

Recap of the Last 3 months
The last three months have been really productive. The site has hosted a whole bunch of interviews that have stirred buzz and gave you a better understanding of your favorite artists. The site has also hosted some exclusive songs and mixtape drops. This site is just in the beginning stages of a full blown out site. I am working on a whole new advanced website that I hope I can put out this year. The site is only three months in and its showing a lot of promise. Basically this post is a recap and a thank you to everyone that has been visiting the site and spreading the word. Without all of you spreading the word on the site, people wouldn't know whats good with this site. So thank you. I really do appreciate it. More news on some links between me and some other sites coming soon.

Stats:
Here are some stats over the last three months:
-Total Hits on site: over 189,600 hits(official - based on hits counter)(read more details under the stats)
-Viewers: 64,870 viewers(official - read more details under the stats)
-Interviews: 13 interviews
-Posts: 25 posts
-Total Downloads: over 102,586 downloads
Those are some good stats for only 3 months!

More details....
I talked to a representative from the company that I run my blog from and they found out some stats for me, official ones. There is about 64,870 actual viewers that have visited the site based on IP address. The representative also told me that the hits where at about 201,600 which was pretty close to what I had from my counter. Everything I have now with stats is accurate!

-Also the new thing I would like to ask is everyone to leave a comment in the comments tab under the post. Please leave any comments on what you think is good and bad with the site. I am looking for feedback so I can work on the site and make it better and better. Thanks!

Tell us about yourselves. Whats are your names? Where are you guys from?
-Lloyd "nautiks" age 27 from Vallejo and Daniel "1122 designs" age 25 from San Francisco. We've both been in the tshirt game since 2003 starting off doing painted tees and cheap heat transfer tees.

What does the word "based" mean to you?
-The competitive struggle to different.

How did you get into the clothing industry? What inspired you?
-We have always been into fashion, before streetwear was big Daniel was working as screen printer and designing when i first started my clothing line Nautiks.com. Also both doing same hand painted clothing setting ourselvesto be different form others. The two of us linked up to put both of our knowledge and skill together and have been working together ever since and stayed moving forward. We are inspired by the art and money.

Where did the name "Toxic Lunch Box" come from?
-Its a weird story, we were looking for a memorable symbol to use for a logo, so we did google search and saw a toxic/atomic sign and when Daniel remade it, the 3 rectangles ended up looking like three lunchboxes. So he added handles to it and on some randomness we decided to call it TOXIC LUNCHBOX. Before we even started we already had the concept for the using the MOUTH which we call TALKSIK, so i guess we have more then one logo.

What upcoming projects are you working on?
-We are working on our summer 2010 / fall line as well as shooting out our gear to exclusive streetwear stores and different online stores. We are always working on new concepts for Toxic as well as different business ventures.

Are there any clothing companies out there you would like to work with, but haven't got the chance yet?
-We are fans of alot of different companies but New Era is the biggest company we want to get our work with. We like hats.

Who are your favorite artists right now?
-Jesse Hernandez of Immortalstudios.com / Chase Tafoya of Chasetafoya.com / Eric Haze of Interhaze.com

What other clothing lines do you rock besides your own?
-We rock all the folks clothing that we've worked with and know when it comes to tee shirts, but as for everything else its pretty basic,levi's, nike, new era, alil of everything, it jus depends on where we gotta go. We are a fan of all fashion so what ever looks dope to us and we can pull off we'll run with it.

What are some things that people don't know about you guys?
-We went to the same high school not knowing each other till 2 years later as well as finding out we were living only a block away. Daniel went to college for Architecture and Lloyd for Aeronautics. Also Lloyd was the founder
and owner of Filthy Dripped art couture in Berkeley and Daniel was the Graphic Designer there as well. We made the store dope.

Whats some advice you can give the people that want to get into the clothing industry?
-Don't do anything you don't feel confident in, if you don't like it how will your customer. Marketing is the key to success, get it out there anyway you can, be noticed. if only your folks rock your shit you haven't even passed the first step. YOU CANT MAKE MONEY IF YOU ALWAYS GIVING SHIT OUT FOR FREE. If you have good/great concepts and you execute it wrong, it will be a waste, pretty much take your time. Its better to put out dope shit slowly rather than weak shit fast. Get a dope designer too! Using photoshop don't make you a designer either.
