Fitness star and model Rosa Acosta will make her debut as the face of 9Five Eyewear in its Summer 2012 Campaign. Expanding her reach from men’s magazine covers and rapper videos, the Dominican Republican native adds the popular urban-meets skateboard-world eyewear company to her list of lifestyle features.

Hypebeast @ E3 Electronic Entertainment Expo

Hypebeast was on hand for the first day of the Electronic Entertainment Expo – perhaps better known by its shortened moniker E3. With a bevy of gaming advances, personalities and trailers being released, some of the standout highlights include the unveil of games like Halo 4 and The Last of Us, as well as peeks at Nintendo’s Wii U and Xbox’s SmartGlass technology. Featuring the latest news from Activision, Bethesda, Capcom USA, Electronic Arts, Konami, Microsoft, Namco Bandai, Nintendo of America, OnLive, Sony Computer Entertainment America, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive, THQ and Ubisoft allow some of these photos to serve as a visual recap.

Young L "Powder Blue Pills"

As stated on Fader, "There isn’t actually much discussion of blue pills on Young L’s track, but it feels like the sonic equivalent of taking painkillers and getting a little nauseous. I think they’re human after all, L posits in Autotune over his trademark space sound. Robotic beats notwithstanding, the video goes down in an oddly pastoral setting, with its star reveling in the grass, the sky, the ducks. At some points he looks a little stressed and disrobes, then instinctively puts his Ramones shirt back on. “Powder Blue Pills” features on the Enigma Theory mixtape, released last month."

Tell us about yourself. What’s your name? Where are you from?

Nicholas Taylor, PKA “Kidd Swagg” I am a 20 year old upcoming, swagged out, inspirational recording artist/entertainer. Myself and my crew known as TRD (Team Run Dat) are a group of individuals that have the same goal in common….which is simply to be able to receive income to do what we love for the rest of our lives, entertain the world. I’m known not only for my flattop but also for my flamboyant taste in apparel with an addiction to shoes.I have a unique style of rap, wordplay, with a comical intriguing series of similes and metaphors which I believe keeps people listening to my music. I am currently a college student that attends Sacramento State University. I was on a scholarship to run track for the school. I was exceptionally good at the triple jump ended my freshman year with a collegiate jump of 48 feet 8 inches.

Professional Skateboarder Stevie Williams and Hip Hop Icon Lil Wayne Unveil Apparel Lines for Macy's

One of the country’s most talked about and respected skateboarders Stevie Williams, celebrated the collaboration of his skateboard lifestyle brand DGK which is now being sold at Macy’s. Yesterday he conducted a special autograph signing at The Beverly Center. The skateboard king welcomed fans with a VIP reception from 5:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. complimented by a public Meet & Greet at 9 p.m. with his good friend and fellow entrepreneur Lil Wayne who also unveiled his TRUKFIT apparel line. The exclusive event took place on Friday, June 1 in the Macy’s Beverly Center Men’s Store located at 8500 Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles.
