Street by 50 Headphones Review

For our very first gadget/electronic review we have recieved a pair of Street by 50 Wired Heaphones from SMS Audio. I would just like to take a moment and thank the people over at SMS Audio and Jake, the representative I talked to for the response and interest in The Based Update. Packaging: The package SMS Audio sent us was via UPS. The package got here fast and on time like UPS rolls and is known for worldwide. The first thing you see when you open the box is the Street by 50 Cent Headphones from SMS Audio, sitting there begging you to put them to use, under solid plastic of course. The packaging was pretty big, solid, and secure. As mentioned the top packaging displayed the product perfectly. After lifting off the plastic and the holder the headphones where in, all the rest of the accessories were in another bag sitting under it. The presentation here all the way to the box was on point.

Design: As it is stated "Street by 50 headphoneswere designed to be the ulimate in durability. Contrary to other headphones, SMS Audio chose to use a custom polymer plastic, known for its strength and flexibility." You might have rolled your eyes while reading that because every brand says this, but unlike those other brands this is actually the truth! I myself have owned plenty of headphones including Beats by Dre and they have broken or snapped literally in half even while I was being extra careful with them. See for yourself the durability test of these headphones in this video. Besides the durability of the design, the design itself is flawless; the colors, the branding, and overall style is on point. You definitley will look trendy with these headphones if that is the look you are going for. They have that feel that you would want to show them off, but that is clearly not all they are good for.

Quality: "It's a good choice!" Some of the main quality features of this headphone include Airtight Sound and Passive Noise Cancellation. Through these main features it is has been listed from SMS Audio: "While other headphones leave the rear of the ear cup open to generate air for bass, SMS Audio has sealed it... With out three-piece consturction ear pad, we have also protected the front of the unit. If worn properly, with a comfortable semi-snug fit on the head, practically no sound should be heard outside of the headset" and "SMS Audio took extra care with the acoustics, sound leakage, mechanical construction, as well as the ear cup and leather construction to provide passive noise cancellation that produces 95% Total Harmonic Distortion sound." Once again all facts, usually with all headphones I have owned in the past my ears get that sore feeling before I am done listening to music. With these that is not true, these headphones are very comfortable and can be used for hours on end. The noise cancellation rings true as well also, it is not completely noise cancelling when the headphones are not mostly turned up, but when the volume is at about 80% you cant hear someone talking that is right in front of you.


Audio: The audio once again as other aspects passes my standards in every way. These headphones overload the bass when its needed in hip-hop and rap songs, but yet that bass faded away and the vocals seemed to be inhanced with other generas of music. This will appeal mostly to people inside of the hip-hop and rap game as it should, but these can definitley be used to suit any style of music, they are a versatile headphone.



What's left: With every purchase of these headphones you will get a carry case, a removable cable with built in microphone, a airplane plug adapter, a soft touch cleaning cloth, and the owners manual/product brochure. Not only does SMS and 50 Cent cover you on the ground and in the air with the carry case and the airplane adapter, but they make sure you have every opprotunity to keep your headphones clean and safe with the removable cable and soft cleaning cloth. Who wouldn't want that?

Pricing: Just before the final approval of the product, we have the pricing. You can go and get yourself a Street by 50 Wired Heaphones through SMS Audio for exactly $249.95 on their website. In no way, shape, or form is this an inappropriate price. I have seen people paying more for headphones similar to these or even not as good as these. Do yourself a favor and go pick up a pair, it is worth the money.



Is it approved: Yes! As you can see there literally are no flaws and I could not find any flaws. SMS Audio and 50 Cent did a really great job on these headphones. On another note, the other headpones I do have are a pair of the Solo headphones through Beats by Dre and lets just say those will be thrown aside because these headphones are all around great, there literally are no problems!

I am sure that ran through all of your heads because everyone likes to compare everything to Beats. I am not against the Beats brand, but most of their revenue is based on impluse buying from people that want to rock the brand because major celebrities wear them. But, I will state again, do yourself a favor and quit jumping around headphone to headphone and get yourself a solid-longlasting pair of Street by 50 Wired Heaphones through SMS Audio! You can even jump to the next level and get these same headphones, but wireless if that's what you need.
