Tell us about your brand. What’s the name? How did it come to be?
We are Vintage Stereon, a group of innovative thinkers that enjoy fashion and graphic art so we decided start a clothing line that would represent us. Each individual within VS had an attraction to street wear as a teen so we really focus on producing items like that. How would you describe the style of your brand? Who do you see wearing it?
As a brand, we try to embody creativity in everything we do. Most of our designs have hidden messages, different meanings, and belong to different eras. We want our consumers to have to take that second-look to really understand what we’re trying to portray. Anyone can wear Vintage Stereon, of course we’re focused mainly on those in our age range, but every design starts as a piece of art and everyone likes art.Everyone today seems to have a clothing line; how do you make yours better or stand out more than others?
We don’t think about things like that. We just produce what we like and hope others enjoy our vision as well.Since the start of your clothing line, what has been your favorite piece? Why?
We’d have to say that the “Members Only” Varsity Jackets that we released with our last collection would have to be our personal favorite. It’s our first actual piece that we’ve produced outside of t-shirts so it was something different for us.Speaking of favorite pieces, who designs the clothes and comes up with the concepts?
We have six people in the brand. Three of them are designers and three of us are in charge of marketing and business aspects, but we collectively come together and agree on a concept. What was your day to day before starting the brand? Did you always think you would do what you do now?
When we started the brand, it was suppose to be like a clique but we all had a great sense of style so it gradually became a clothing brand. We didn’t start to take the line serious until our senior year of high school. What is the biggest challenge you have ran into while running a clothing brand?
The challenges in running the business is basically the marketing and trying to branch out to more places other than Florida, we use online sites to help promote such as Twitter and Facebook but that only gets you so far. What’s the best part of running a clothing line?
Being able to create what we want and to receive positive feedback from our fans and supporters. What’s in the near future for your brand? Anything special coming up?
We’re releasing our Summer collection, Magnum Opus, really soon. You can check out our latest teaser at www.vintagestereon.com.Where can we find more about your brand?
