Miguel set out to alter the direction of R&B with ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ and for the follow-up to his sophomore album he is sticking to his roots. He is already in the process of recording his third album! His Los Angeles hometown—and desire to record a definitive summer anthem—has been a strong influence. ”I want this album to feel like home for me,” Miguel told VIBE. “Being born and raised in Los Angeles, there’s so much to paint and for people to see and know about me. I want to write the summer anthem. I haven’t had that summer song yet.”
