Kanye West – Lost in The World | Video
Kanye West drops off the visuals for his latest single pulled from the musician’s critically-acclaimed fifth album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Directed by Ruth Hogben, the Bon Iver/Justin Vernon-assisted offering is a high-energy, black and white affair with sharp cuts, vigorous dancing and an air of mystery normally associated with visuals for one of West’s numerous projects. London-based Hogben’s previous works come primarily from the world of fashion – including collaborations with Gareth Pugh, Rick Owens, Louis Vuitton, Barneys, Mac Cosmetics and Selfridges.
Chris Brown x Ron English DUM ENGLISH Launch Recap @ Cory Helford Gallery
In a seemingly unlikely collaboration, Chris Brown of Grammy Award-winning pop music fame and artist Ron English linked up for a collaborative “DUM ENGLISH” limited edition toy launch yesterday. Hosted by LA’s Toy Art Gallery, the two artists joined forces to celebrate the launch of the Garageworks Industries and Made by Monsters production, signing autographs and also painting a life-size DUM ENGLISH astronaut sculpture in front of lucky attendees prior to last night’s VIP art exhibit and media event at Culver City’s Corey Helford Gallery.
Stussy 2012 Spring/Summer Cap Collection
In addition to the recent installment of T-shirts for Spring/Summer 2012, Stussy debuts a taut range of snapback hats. Featuring similar visuals and graphics as the apparel segment, each cap effectively perpetuates the Tribe’s summer steez with bold colors, trademark logos and nostalgic embellishments. The hats arrive in a varying array of 6-panel caps that see a few trucker style silhouettes thrown in the mix. For those in the market, Stussy’s online chapter currently has availability.
Graffiti Cafe by Studio MODE
Graffiti by name but not by concept, the Graffiti Cafe in Varna, Bulgaria gets its interior designed by Studio MODE, who aimed for a consistency with its building’s architecture. A natural continuation of contour lines echo throughout the inside space that have been split up into two zones. It incorporates the front area with the building’s exterior for an open affect, with the back being riddled in depth altering design that still maintains the cafe’s panorama. Trendy in its function and usage of space, as well as vibrant in obvious artistry, Graffiti Cafe’s design acts as an apt reference to the Gallery of Modern Art that sits above it.
