Sigur Ros featuring Shia LaBeouf – Fjogur Piano | Video

Critically-acclaimed Icelandic band Sigur Ros has teamed up with filmmaker Alma Har’el for the latest installment of its Mystery Film Experiment in support of the band’s recently released sixth studio LP, Valtari. Starring an unkempt, long-haired Shia LaBeouf, the thoughtful and artistic music video for the stark piano track “Fjogur Piano” addresses the cyclical imprisonment of addiction and sees the actor alongside a female companion in a lurid, dream-like state. Complete with butterflies, an underwater car and choreographed dance, the eight-and-a-half-minute sequence is the third offering from the Mystery Film Experiment series. Valtari is now available at music retailers worldwide. You can see the video here. Warning–it’s a serious, thoughtful video, but there’s some nudity and mature content. So use your discretion.

Yves Saint Laurent To Change Name to Saint Laurent Paris

Newly-appointed Yves Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane has decided a name change is in order for the storied brand in order to make a splash in the always-competitive high-fashion landscape. The house will be re-branded as “Saint Laurent Paris,” although the recognizable YSL logo will maintain a presence within the brand. According to WWD, Slimane is “recapturing the impulses that inspired the founder to launch the Saint Laurent Rive Gauche ready-to-wear line in 1966 – among them youth, freedom and modernity.

Kate Upton by Terry Richardson for GQ

After she took the headlines with her Swimsuit Edition cover, Kate Upton has been the subject of many subsequent photoshoots, pictorials and brand-centric campaigns since. Following up a string of Terry Richardson-photoed outtakes, it was inevitable that official Richardson-created imagery would eventually surface in its entirety. With the recent announcement that Upton would be monopolizing the cover of the the July 2012 issue of GQ, the publication gives us a glimpse into the pictures from the feature. In typical Richardson fashion, the final images boast a unique edge and rough aesthetic, this time around placing Upton in a Fourth of July styled bikini and other various summertime clothing (or lack thereof.)
