Apple iPhone 5 & iPad Mini to be Unveiled During September 12 Event

After rampant speculation, credible sources are now pointing to two definitive dates for the unveil and release of both the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 will mark the official look at two of the more sought-after items, while September 21 will serve as the date in which the products will be available for public consumption. In addition, Apple typically shows off hardware-specific iOS features at new iPhone events as well – with last year serving as the introduction to advanced camera and video recording, Voice Control, FaceTime and Siri. As the rumor mill continues to swirl, many anticipate the iPad Mini to be 7 inches in size – nearly 3 inches smaller than the previous model. While Apple has yet to comment, expect a confirmation or denial very shortly as the sources of the rumor come from individuals who have proved accurate in the past.

Watch Your iPhones Spin As You DJ on the Philips Mini Hi-Fi System

Offering a unique DJ-inspired experience to go alongside the use of the iPhone and its music storage is the new Mini Hi-Fi System from Philips. Featuring dual rotating decks that allow for the playback and charging of two iPhones or iPods, the system sports channel faders for swapping back and forth between the two inputs as well as an optional DJ app for more advanced users. Complete with the brand’s MAX Sound technology for a maximization of volume performance sans distortion, the player also offers Digital Sound Control for optimal frequency ranges and even features a dynamic lighting system on the front of the unit. Retailing for £300 GBP (approximately $470 USD), the Philips Mini Hi-Fi System is now available online in the UK.

Snoop Lion (Snoop Dogg) – Reincarnated Documentary Trailer

Evolution as an artist is often times what separates legends from the more mundane. After being heavily influenced by his experience in Jamaica – and his subsequent name change from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion – the LBC showman prepares his latest reggae-infused album Reincarnated. As part of the process, VICE followed Snoop to the island nation as he recorded various songs with backing from Diplo, Ariel Reichtshaid and Dre Skull of Major Lazer. Having grown tired of what rap provided him, the documentary reveals the rebirth and inspiration for his latest project.

Paranormal Activity 4 Trailer

Shot on a shoestring budget, the first Paranormal Activity delivered plenty of scares and a record-setting return on investment for Paramount Pictures. The studio released two more sequels in quick succession in an attempt to repeat some semblance of that surprise success. Paranormal Activity 4 is the series’ fourth movie in five years which continues the horror movie convention of “found footage” around which to construct its plot. Check out the official first trailer for Paranormal Activity 4 to see if the formula still has what it takes to make a good horror film when it lands in October.

Rick Ross featuring Jay-Z & Dr. Dre – 3 Kings

Rick Ross honors today’s arrival of his latest album God Forgives, I Don’t with the official music video for his star-studded new single “3 Kings,” featuring Jay-Z and Dr. Dre. While the album boasts guest contributions from the likes of Andre 3000, Usher, Drake and more, the Bawse decided to clique with two of the most powerful individuals in the industry and offers a collage of the triumvirate’s biggest moments and music videos.
