Sony Debuts Massive 84-Inch 4K TV
For those who find that their 55-inch TV is no longer cutting it, Sony has just debuted the solution to all your problems. Officially dubbed the XBR-84X900, this monstrous TV boasts an 84-inch 3480 x 2160 resolution LCD screen as well as a detachable 10-speaker audio system. Its 4K resolution display features 8 million pixels for a resolution offering 4x that of a regular HD screen. In addition to the gorgeous display, the TV also features built-in Wi-Fi and a slew of apps such as Netflix and Pandora. Set to ship sometime later this year, expect to fork over a princely sum for one of these.
Nike Free Run+ 2 Suede Pack
Nike may not have pioneered the “minimalist” approach to running shoes, but its Free platform has certainly become the go-to favorite for converted minimalists and diehard runners alike. New for its fall collection, Nike is offering this Free Run+ 2 Suede pack, with three new slightly muted monotone colorway additions to the already colorful offerings of the Free Run+. Also unique to this pack is the addition of the rich, suede leather uppers, and contrasting speckled grey soles. Each shoe in the pack also gets woven rope laces to match the respective pastel, yet earthy hue of the shoe’s upper. While you can get more information on the special edition pack from issue 25 of Sneaker Freaker, also keep your eye out on select Nike stockists as September hits.
2 Chainz featuring Kanye West – Birthday Song | Video
The visual companion of 2 Chainz’s Kanye West-assisted “Birthday Song” has arrived. Directed by Andreas Nilsson, the clip displays both artists attending a child’s birthday party but with an adult twist, video vixens, a backyard circus, midgets, and more bizarre attendees and accessories. Hit the play button above and watch the frenzy unfold. The cut comes off of 2 Chainz’s Based On A T.R.U. Story.
ABSOLUT UNIQUE: 4 Million Uniquely Artful Bottles
From ABSOLUT VODKA comes a new creative innitiative: the ABSOLUT UNIQUE which consists of close to 4 million uniquely designed bottles to grace shelves worldwide. The liquor brand has always been at the forefront in introducing creative collaboration efforts from a range of artists, but in this particular project, ABSOLUT has decided to take the artistic reigns. Using a mix of 38 different colors and 51 pattern types, applied through splash guns and color-generating machines, each bottle produced was ensured that it would look one-of-a-kind. Set to be released September 3, the horde of uniquely designed vodka bottles are out there for a fitting drinker to find just the right style. Wiz Khalifa featuring Lil Wayne & Young Jeezy – Work Hard, Play Hard (Remix)
This remix of Wiz Khalifa‘s “Work Hard, Play Hard” — coming on the heels of the original track’s release earlier this year and featuring Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy — proves the point that the emcee has indeed been keeping busy. Lyrically, however, the cut shows the rappers involved are equally committed to the latter, spitting verses celebrating the good life — big bills and balling hard. Premiered by DJ Prostyle, this remixed first single from O.N.I.F.C. was originally supposed to feature Drake but due to scholastic commitments, perhaps, his involvement was shelved in favor of the gravelly-voiced Young Jeezy. O.N.I.F.C. will release September 18.
