The 1:Face Watch Campaign Looks to Cure Disease & More

Chicago-based product and branding firm Mirza Minds is looking to put an end to such atrocities as world hunger, breast cancer and AIDS – while also bringing water to rural communities in Rwanda, raising awareness about the environment and providing mammograms to women in need. The project, dubbed the 1:Face Watch, sells colorful timepieces with universal colors and in turn donates profits to reputable organizations like One Day’s Wages, Charity Water and the American Cancer Society.

For example, when you buy a white watch, One Day’s Wages provides food supplements to 16 children in the Horn of Africa. Each battery-powered and waterproof watch is $40 USD and supports one cause. In speaking about the project, Creative Director Fam Mirza commented, “Change originates from within. That is why the face of the watch is designed as a mirror. When you check the time, you see your reflection looking back within you.”

Mister 2012 Fall/Winter Jewelry

Included are bracelets, skull rings, safety pins and key chains, providing unique, handcrafted items for discerning individuals and jewelry aficionados.

Jurassic Park 3D Official Trailer

While we wait for the fourth installation in the legendary Jurassic Park series, the movie that started it all is set to hit theaters in 3D. The original Jurassic Park film is the latest in a string of 3-dimensional re-releases and will give viewers the chance to relive all the wonders and terrors of John Hammond’s one-of-a-kind dinosaur theme park. Based on the now-classic novel by Michael Crichton and starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum, the Steven Spielberg-directed movie will grace cinema screens on April 5, 2013.

Benny Gold for The Hundreds Johnson Low

The Hundreds is pleased to announce the release of the “Benny Gold for The Hundreds” Johnson Low in collaboration with San Francisco-based designer, Benny Gold. The limited edition “Benny Gold for The Hundreds” Johnson Low is completely inspired by San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. The outer shell of the shoe is made with a rust-colored patina and ostrich leather, symbolizing the bridge’s colorway, and features traces of aqua throughout the shoe to tie in the presence of the Pacific Ocean. Gradient gray and white laces complete the look and are representative of San Francisco’s infamous fog, and the tongue and insole feature a specially designed The Hundreds logo refashioned to include Benny Gold’s trademark paper plane. The shoe will be available in limited quantities at the Benny Gold SF flagship as well as The Hundreds’ flagship locations today!
