TIME’s Top 10 Photos of 2012

As we prepare to bring in the new year, reflection on the past 12 months becomes a recurring theme for many. None is more evident in the long list of “Top Whatever” countdowns that will consume our conscious mind for the next month or so. Opening today however, one of the better catalogs comes from TIME Magazine and its Top 10 Photos of 2012. The 10 photos selected deliver a strong emotional impact from wartime imagery to the effects of recent natural disasters.

The Great Gatsby 2013 Official Movie Trailer #2

Having seen the first trailer back in May, we’re now privy to the second theatrical teaser for Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming film The Great Gatsby based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel of the same name. Leonardo DiCaprio plays the lead role of Jay Gatsby - a young, mysterious millionaire with shady business connections in the early 1920s – with other standout character performances by the likes of Carey Mulligan, Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton. As the trailer suggests, Luhrmann’s vision of the Roaring Twenties is immense and awe-inspiring – suggesting that the delay of the film (the first trailer will be a year old when the film premieres) is due in large part to the grand scope of the project. The Great Gatsby hits cinemas on May 17, 2013..
