Ben Franke Captures Parkour in Motion

Set amidst darkened backgrounds and using a little powder to provide dramatic effect, photographer Ben Franke presents a series of images that capture the acrobatic flare in the world of parkour. Shot in New York using a Canon 5D Mark II with 24-80mm lens, various ledges and walls give birth to maneuvers that transcend both art and sport – leaving the viewer with a static image that reveals the interplay between subject and shutterbug. Check out all of the images HERE.

A Look Inside Red Bull’s New London Headquarters

After making waves with their offices in Amsterdam, Red Bull now showcases their recently refurbished headquarters in London. Having first set up shop in the UK in 2006, the multinational Austrian corporation enlisted Jump Studios who specialize in high-concept interiors, installations and architectural design. The brief was to amalgamate two separate offices into one central headquarters building. Located in Soho, the new offices occupy the top three floors of an existing 19th century building – including a recent roof-level extension which takes the form of a ‘glass box” surrounded by an exterior terrace which provides spectacular views of the West End. The top floor acts as a social hub and contains the main reception, bar, cafĂ© and both informal and formal meeting areas. These top floor features are “stitched” together by a continuous, snaking carbon-fiber element that is evocative of the trace patterns left by skaters, snowboarders, stunt planes, race cars and bikes. Jump Studios commented that, “Encouraging interaction between employees while communicating the company’s brand values and identity were the dual aims of the design of Red Bull’s new 1,860 sq m headquarters.”

Never one to stay on the beaten path, AMBUSH returns for 2013 with “POW!” – its collection of experimental accessories and bold designs crafted in Japan from an array of metals, stones, plastics and leathers. Included among them are pieces that only VERBAL and YOON could conceive of — necklaces and rings in gold, blue and red that make use of the classic “POW!” motif (now a registered trademark of the label). AMBUSH’s 2013 “POW!” collection, along with a selection of the brand’s other accessories, are available now at their online store.

Billionaire Boys Club 2013 Spring/Summer Collection First Delivery

Throughout its growth, Billionaire Boys Club has managed to maintain its core, graphic-driven identity, while also carving out space for more mature pieces each season. Moving into 2013, spring/summer sees a very recognizably BBC aesthetic carrying over, as a return to multi-camo (previously seen in its Bee Line debut) as well as all-overprints, the Classic Logo, and plaids make up the first drop for the year. Although much of the collection is likely to be revealed over the next few weeks and months, the initial glimpse at the Spring/Summer 2013 range looks to be very much in tune with what we’ve come to expect from the Pharrell-backed label.

Hope you enjoyed the newest post for the Fuggin' Friday feature. Tune in next week for another Fuggin' Friday weekly post!
