Ken Block Tears Up San Francisco for Gymkhana Five

DC Shoes co-founder and professional rally car driver Ken Block returns to an urban setting for his continued high-octane series of Gymkhana thrill rides – this time treating San Francisco like his own personal playground. Utilizing a tricked out Ford Fiesta with 0-60 MPH capabilities in just 1.8 seconds, thanks in large part to its 650 horsepower engine, the city streets are the stage for a variety of maneuvers usually reserved to a child’s imagination. Shot over a period of four days, every nook and cranny of the Bay is seemingly used for this expansive followup to a series that draws spectators from numerous different worlds.

First premiered during Berlin Fashion Week, Opening Ceremony and adidas Originals showcase a preview of their Spring/Summer 2013 collection of stylish footwear and apparel. Playing off a strong, athletic theme drawn from the world of running and tennis, bold prints and patterns play nicely off the equally masculine color palettes. While wild and exciting, each offering is uniquely grounded in elegant style and design – with the reissued Crazy 8 as undoubtedly the star of the collection. Those on hand during a special media preview included Opening Ceremony designer and co-founder Humberto Leon as well as adidas creative director Dirk Schönberger. Expect to see further details and price points emerging in the very near future.

adidas Football: UEFA Euro 2012 Slow-Motion Fan Reactions

The UEFA Euro 2012 Cup is now over, yet adidas Football gives us this video that pays homage to arguably the most important part of the great game: the fans. The video takes us from start to finish of the final match in Kiev, Ukraine, starting with the arrival of players into the city and documenting the differing reactions among the opposing groups of fans. The crew involved used an Olympus i-SPEED camera and a flying drone to capture the 150,000+ fans who filled the street to watch the match on the big screen. Even if you didn’t watch at home, this short video makes it easy to see the elation of fans of Spain and the heartbreak of those rooting for Italy. Check out the clip from adidas Football above.
